With Christmas only a few weeks away, it’s that time of year again where we should be thinking of sending out those lovely Christmas cards which we always look forward to receiving from our family and friends.
Digivate has recently been busy working with our clients in putting together some well designed and thoughtful greeting messages for their Christmas card emails. If you are planning your own Christmas card campaign you should be aiming to send it out to your Clients and Customers in the 1st week of December.
By jogging the memory of your past customers and thanking your present customers you will be encouraging them to make those all important Christmas purchases, without the hard sell!
With all that in mind why not pencil in your Christmas messages now and get them setup and ready to go out soon.
Below are a few tips of what you should and should not do when preparing your Christmas card email campaign.
- Keep all image file size as small as possible. No one wants to wait ages for images to download!
- Make your message short and concise.
- Do not include any form of interactivity such as flash or animation in your cards as it won’t be compatible with all technologies available on the market. However, if you must use flash technology, you should use this as a separate landing page.
- Always use alt tags. If your images cannot be displayed! The tags will give the reader an indication of what should the missing content should be.
